As the conflict between Russia and Ukraine escalates, there are reports that Russia is leveraging offensive cyber capabilities against countries and organizations that oppose or sanction their efforts. These actions include potential retaliatory cyberattacks, or cyberattack campaigns, against critical physical and cyberinfrastructure. There are also opportunistic adversaries taking full advantage of the situation to commit crisis hijacking in the form of fake funding or credential farming campaigns. It is critical that businesses not only understand their current cybersecurity preparedness but take swift action wherever possible.
